But here's an important distinction that needs to be made. There are two sides to marketing - strategic marketing and tactical marketing. Strategic marketing is what you say, how you say it and who you say it to. It's the actual message on the postcard or letter that you're sending out. Tactical marketing is simply the medium that carries the strategy. Tactical marketing could be anything - letter, postcard, yellow pages, radio, TV, billboards, etc. Everybody is familiar with those tactics and can purchase them if they so desire.
